Four years ago, a photo of Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif broke the internet when the actors announced that they were joining hands to star in their first film together, titled Jee Le Zaraa, helmed by Farhan Akhtar. However, the film never took off due to multiple reasons and continues to remain in limbo. Amid this, Farhan has addressed the speculations around the film happening with a new cast.
Farhan Akhtar on Jee Le Zaraa
In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Farhan Akhtar was asked if Jee Le Zaraa is happening with a new cast. To this, he replied, “There are too many rumours doing the rounds about too many things. I have always maintained that I honestly don’t like keeping any secrets when I am making a film. Every time I felt like something is ready to go, I have put it out in the world, and shared it with them. And I’ll do the same.”
He further said, “Right now, I am just a little bit in a place where I really need to think very seriously about what I want to do next as a director. Because so many things have transpired in the last couple of years that I feel I just need to catch my breath, and really kind of just see where my heart lies with it. So, once that happens, I will let the world know.”

The three lead actresses’ scheduling wasn’t the only issue. The report further stated that Farhan and co-writers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti had a tough time finding male co-stars who were worthy of the trio.
