Namita Thapar reacts to namaz video backlash, says `I don’t care about the hate`

Namita Thapar, known for her stint on Shark Tank India as a shark on the panel, recently addressed backlash she received after sharing a video about the health benefits of namaz. The clip, intended to highlight wellness aspects of the practice, quickly went viral but also attracted criticism from a section of social media users.

Namita Thapar issues clarification

Responding to the trolling, Namita made it clear that she would not be discouraged. She said, “I don’t care about the hate,” firmly standing by her intent behind the video. According to her, the reel was created purely from a health and wellness perspective, focusing on the physical and mental benefits associated with the movements involved in namaz.

She also pointed out that her content has never been biased toward any one religion. Defending herself against accusations, Namita stated, “I have made reels on Hindu practices too,” emphasising that her aim has always been to promote well-being across different cultural and spiritual traditions. Her clarification was aimed at addressing claims that she was selectively highlighting one religious practice.

Opening up about the impact of the trolling, Namita revealed that the negativity extended beyond her. She shared that even her family was affected, saying both she and her mother were subjected to unpleasant comments online. Despite this, she maintained that such reactions would not stop her from speaking about topics she believes in.

Her response reflected a broader message about resilience and staying true to one’s intentions.

The controversy has sparked conversations online about the intersection of wellness, religion, and public perception. While some supported her for promoting inclusivity and health awareness, others continued to question her stance.

In the end, Namita reiterated that her focus remains unchanged spreading awareness about practices that can benefit people’s overall well-being. Despite the criticism, she appears determined to continue creating content that encourages healthier lifestyles, regardless of differing opinions.
