Kyunki 2 unveils the biggest twist with Akashdeep’s comeback on the show in a crucial role. The actor, who originally portrayed the notorious antagonist Ansh Gujral in the first season, left a lasting impression with his intense performance. His character was one of the most memorable villains on Indian television, and his arc ended dramatically when Tulsi, played by Smriti Irani, shot him.

Akashdeep plays the character of Ansh Gujral`s second son Reyansh or Rio in the show, he lives with Karan (Hiten Tejwani) and calls him `papa`. The shocking revelation leaves Tulsi stunned as he looks exactly like Ansh.

The buzz around his return had intensified after a recent promo hinted at a mysterious new entry linked to Tulsi’s past. While the character’s face was not revealed, the sequence featuring Tulsi holding a photograph and revisiting a painful memory has led many to speculate that Ansh’s legacy is set to resurface in a dramatic way.

Reports also suggest that earlier, actors like Pearl V Puri and others were being considered for the role. However, the makers are now said to be in discussions with Akashdeep himself, which has only heightened anticipation among viewers who remember his iconic portrayal.
