Calling the opportunity special, Chhaya said, “Being a part of the film is a huge blessing for me. Because in Priyadarshan’s film, we have got so much entertainment from so many years. And I am a fan of his from the very beginning.” She recalled her excitement when she first learned about the project: “When I got to know that I am doing this for the first time, I was so excited. And curious to know about what kind of experience will it be?”

Her first day of shooting in Jaipur turned out to be unforgettable. “On the first day of shooting, I met him. He was so warm to me. As soon as I entered, I felt like I have come to my home,” she shared, describing how welcomed she felt by the team. Priyadarshan’s attention to detail also stood out. “He gave me a brief for this role… and later said it is perfect. He just said that we need a little bigger bindi. That’s it. He takes care of such small things.”

On her bonding with Akshay Kumar

While the initial moments came with nervousness, especially during her first scene with Akshay Kumar, the actor quickly helped her settle in. “My first scene was with Akshay Kumar ji… you feel nervous. But he eased me immediately. When I met him for the first time, he welcomed me very well. It was like when a family member welcomes another family member.”

Chhaya described the set atmosphere as warm and lively, often turning into a space of fun and games. “Akshay ji asked, ‘Who knows Ludo?’ So we started playing. Whenever a game starts, we immediately become kids,” she laughed. Even between shoots, the cast bonded over games. “We used to roam around with a bundle of games… and really played with the biggest Khiladi,” she joked, adding how Akshay often won, saying, “Luck is also with him. I saw it with my own eyes.”

She credited Akshay for maintaining a positive environment. “He keeps the people around him at ease. He doesn’t let the environment get serious. That’s why he is so good in comedy,” she noted.

Praising Priyadarshan’s filmmaking style, Chhaya added, “He is very precise and knows how much he wants. He never shoots extra… everything is necessary.” Reflecting on the overall experience, she concluded, “When you enjoy the work, then the work is good. This positivity makes your work better.”
