Actor Emma Myers is most popularly known for essaying the role of Enid Sinclair in the Netflix show Wednesday. She plays a werewolf who is also the best friend and roommate of the protagonist. Currently, Myers is gearing up for the release of her show A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder 2. During the promotions of the show, Myers spoke about her love for Indian cinema.

Myers, in an interaction with Hits Radio, said that she loves Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. “I love Bollywood films. I think they are super fun,” she said.

The actress said that she loves 3 Idiots and has made many people watch the film. “One of my favourite films ever is 3 Idiots. I show it to people all the time. It is 4 hours long, but you have the best time of your life. There is also a two-part saga called Baahubali, which I love.”

Earlier, actor Jackie Chan had also praised 3 Idiots. “I watch very few Bollywood movies, but I loved 3 Idiots (2009). It was a huge success in Hong Kong. I became an Aamir Khan fan overnight. I think he is a terrific actor.”

About 3 Idiots success

Released in 2009, 3 Idiots became one of Indian cinema’s biggest global successes. It performed exceptionally well in overseas markets including China, Japan, South Korea and several Western countries. In China particularly, the film developed a cult following for its universal themes of friendship, parental expectations and educational pressure. Its emotional storytelling, humour and relatable message helped it transcend language and cultural barriers, making it one of the most internationally celebrated Bollywood films of all time.

Rajkumar Hirani on 3 Idiots, Munna Bhai sequel

In conversation with Variety India, Rajkumar Hirani spoke about both films and said, “I have a couple of ideas at the moment. I’m actually working on both the films. I’ve been working on a Munna Bhai script and also on a 3 Idiots sequel idea. For Munna Bhai, I had an idea which is done to a larger level, but still, I haven’t found the right end for it.”

The director further mentioned, “For the 3 Idiots sequel, it was just very recently that suddenly, out of nowhere, this one idea sparked up. And I have no idea how it’s gone out in the universe. Because it’s still not there, but we said we’ll work on it. And then, as and when it happens… but somehow, one morning, I saw that the news is out there. I have three or four scripts with me at the moment, and I’ll have to pretty quickly take a call on which way to walk now.”
