Popular television serial Tum Se Tum Tak, led by Sharad Kelkar, has become a fan favourite and is witnessing a steady rise in TRPs. Over the past few weeks, there was speculation about several other names being roped in for the show.

Anita Hassanandani on her comeback to TV

Anita`s entry is expected to become a major turning point in the storyline and intensify the drama. The show will explore Rajnandini and Aryavardhan’s past relationship and its emotional baggage.

In an interview with IWM Buzz, the actress shared her excitement about her return to TV and joining the show.

She said, “Yes, I am super excited. It’s been a while since I have done a soft, sweet, confident, powerful role, which has its softness. I have done negative roles of late. I was looking forward to something like this. I am excited to play Rajnandini. It is interesting, I have just started. I hope the track turns out well, and people enjoy my comeback in this positive role.”

The actress is best known for her roles in shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Naagin, Kkavyanjali, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She has become one of the most recognised faces for antagonist roles in Indian daily soaps.

FIR quashed against Tum Se Tum Tak

Last August, an FIR had been filed against the show, leading to a court hearing. Tum Se Tum Tak presents a love story between a 46-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, which the complainant claimed caused “hurt” feelings.

While reserving orders on Zee TV`s petition to quash the FIR, a division bench of Justices Ravindra Ghuge and Gautam Ankhad called the complaint`s premise and the complainant`s veracity into question, As reported by the Law Advice.

The bench orally stated, “What is offensive in the serial? If we go by your idea of what is offensive, we will have to switch off the TV entirely. A 46-year-old actor falls in love with a 19-year-old girl — and that will hurt sentiments? We can understand if a show causes communal riots or tension, but here there is nothing of that sort. There is a judgment (Justice Lodha) which clearly says, if you don’t like a movie or a show, don’t watch it.”
