Inspired by true events, a deadly Kashmir convoy ambush triggers a relentless national pride where lines between patriotism and politics blur.
Malayalam cinema is gearing up to unveil a project that promises to resonate far beyond regional boundaries. Operation Tral, an intense, action-driven thriller rooted in patriotism and national security, has officially revealed its first look, marking the beginning of what is expected to be a powerful nationwide conversation.
With Jayasurya in the lead, the film draws from the world of India’s elite intelligence operations. It is written and directed by Ratheesh Vega, and produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments. Early cues suggest a narrative deeply anchored in the realities of modern intelligence warfare, blending high-octane sequences with a strong national message that reflects the spirit of duty and resilience. With its thematic focus on patriotism and the inner workings of national intelligence, the film aims to tap into a growing appetite for content that is both thrilling and meaningful.
Jayasurya calls Operation Tral his `most challenging` project
“Operation Tral stands out as one of the most exciting and challenging projects in my career. It brings together high-octane action with a powerful narrative rooted in national security. Every sequence is designed to feel real and I’m excited for audiences to experience its massive scale. This film carries a strong message and I hope it resonates with audiences across the country” said actor Jayasurya.
“In a world where terror wears many faces, I wanted to explore the silent battles fought in the shadows by those who protect our nation without recognition. This film is a humble attempt to step into the unseen world of intelligence agencies and reflect the quiet strength of those who carry the weight of the nation, often without ever being seen” said director Ratheesh Vega.
