​Mumbai weather update: City to remain partly cloudy; AQI at 55 

The city and its suburbs are expected to witness a partly cloudy sky during the morning hours, gradually turning mainly clear by afternoon and evening, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD has forecast maximum and minimum temperatures of around 33 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively, indicating warm and humid conditions through the day.

Air quality remains satisfactory

Meanwhile, Mumbai’s air quality continues to remain in the ‘satisfactory’ category, with an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 55, as per the Central Pollution Control Board’s Sameer App.

In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Thane and Kalyan recorded AQI levels of 64 each, while Navi Mumbai stood at 55, all falling under the ‘satisfactory’ category.

Overall, both weather and air quality conditions across Mumbai and adjoining areas remain stable, with no major concerns reported.

Dry weather across Maharashtra; IMD issues orange alert for Gondia, predicts thundershowers

Most parts of Maharashtra are expected to witness dry weather conditions today, according to the latest forecast by the Meteorological Department. However, rainfall activity is likely in parts of the Vidarbha region, with alerts issued for several districts.

Konkan to remain dry and humid

Districts including Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg are likely to experience dry weather. Hot and humid conditions may prevail in isolated pockets, particularly along the coastal belt.

North Maharashtra to see hot conditions

Regions such as Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar are also expected to remain dry, with no significant rainfall activity forecast.

Western Maharashtra largely dry

Districts including Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, and Sangli will continue to witness dry and stable weather conditions throughout the day.

Thundershowers likely in Vidarbha

Districts including Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Nagpur, and Wardha have been placed under a yellow alert,  with thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, with speeds reaching 50-60 kmph, are likely at isolated places, the IMD said.

Meanwhile, Gondia is under an orange alert, with the IMD predicting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph at isolated locations.

Marathwada to remain dry

Districts such as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, and Hingoli are expected to witness dry conditions, with no rainfall warnings issued.
