Middle finger covered, Rajasthan reference deleted from Ram Charan`s Peddi 

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor`s upcoming sports drama Peddi is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited releases of 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on June 4. Ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification has certified the film, giving it a U/A 16+ certificate.

Notably, the film`s certification development comes days after the makers unveiled the official trailer. The trailer was unveiled at a grand event held in Mumbai. Now, the CBFC has passed Peddi with a U/A 16+ certificate.

According to the images of certification floating on the internet, the final runtime of Ram and Janhvi`s Peddi is clocked in at 189 minutes, which is 3 hours and 9 minutes. Before passing the film, the CBFC reportedly suggested certain cuts and modifications in the film.

The word Rajasthan has been deleted from the sports drama, along with a reference to a community. Additionally, six words have been muted and modified in the Buchi Babu Sana directorial.

In addition to these, a scene featuring a middle finger has been covered with CG visuals. The certificate was reportedly issued on May 22, 2026. After deletion and replacement of the suggested scenes and words, the runtime of Peddi is locked at 3 hours and 9 minutes.

Peddi is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, and stars Ram Charan in the lead role alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, forming a strong ensemble that elevates the film’s scale. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, along with Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and IVY Entertainment. It is also co-produced by Ishan Saksena.

The upcoming film boasts a powerful technical team, including music by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, production design by Avinash Kolla, editing by Navin Nooli, and executive production by V. Y. Praveen Kumar.

Peddi will be released in North India by Jio Studios and will premiere across the world on June 3, 2026, followed by its worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
