Glory was first announced by Netflix, in February 2025, as part of its India slate. But it’s only now, almost 15 months since, that the Suvinder Vicky, Divyenndu, and Pulkit Samrat-starrer will begin streaming. What caused the delay? According to Divyenndu, even before it went on floors, the team knew that the boxing drama about a coach and his two sons would take time to come alive on screen.

“We were aware that it’s a big animal and would take some time to get ready. You want [a show] to land well and at its own pace,” said the actor. The series sees Divyenndu’s character team up with his younger brother to investigate the attack on their sister. Playing the hot-headed guy, with emotional baggage of his own, was far from easy for the actor.
“When you play such characters, there is no middle ground. You have to go deep and then come out. That becomes taxing because my character is either angry or emotional. Just to be in that state of mind takes a toll. We enjoyed the journey so much. But when it got over, I was very happy because it’s not easy to be that dark guy day after day.”
