Actor-politician Ravi Kishan has filed an FIR in Gorakhpur alleging that a coordinated defamatory campaign is being carried out to damage his public and political image. According to reports, the complaint accuses certain individuals or groups of circulating false, misleading, and objectionable statements against the BJP MP across the Gorakhpur region through social media platforms, public gatherings, and other channels.

As mentioned in the FIR, the alleged statements were being spread “deliberately and in a premeditated manner” with the intention of harming Ravi Kishan’s social standing, political credibility, and personal reputation. The complaint claims the narratives being circulated are baseless and are aimed at creating a hostile atmosphere against the actor-turned-politician. It further alleges that the campaign was politically motivated and intended to undermine his image among the public.
Ravi Kishan has reportedly urged authorities to conduct a swift and impartial investigation into the matter. The complaint also seeks strict legal action against those allegedly involved in spreading defamatory content. Additionally, preventive measures have been requested to stop what the FIR describes as “malicious attempts” to tarnish his reputation. Police officials are yet to reveal further details regarding the identities of those named or the specific content being investigated.

In recent months, Ravi Kishan has also been linked to other controversies and security-related incidents, including reported death threats during election campaigning and cases involving impersonation in his name.
Ravi Kishan had also reacted to his recent viral moment where he said, `home from work`, he even shared that it was just a basic human error and nothing else.
Known for his successful career in Bhojpuri and Hindi cinema before entering politics, Ravi Kishan currently serves as a Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur. Despite the ongoing controversy, the actor continues to remain active professionally as well. He is next set to appear in the upcoming film “Maa Behen,” alongside Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. The project is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 4.
