Jason`s work front

The actor was supposed to start the year with the Tamil film Jana Nayagan. However, the film that stars Vijay in the lead, landed in trouble with the CBFC and is yet to get a clearance from the board. According to latest reports, the film is set to hit theatres in June to coincide with the lead actor`s birthday who is now also the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

In an earlier interview with Mid-day, Shah revealed that his character presents him in an entirely new avatar, something distinctly different from anything he has done in his decade-long career in India. “It’s completely action-oriented,” he shared, underlining the physical and intense nature of the role. Being part of Jana Nayagan, he added, is especially meaningful given Vijay’s unparalleled stardom. “There are very few people in the industry who command the kind of legacy and respect Vijay sir does.”

Although Shah didn’t get the opportunity to share screen space with Vijay, the actor insists that simply being on the set was an experience in itself. “He carries a very distinct aura. The way the crew spoke about him, the energy around his scenes, and the respect he commands on set were palpable. Vijay sir has a personality and mindset that are truly his own. There’s a quiet authority and discipline to the way his presence shapes the environment. I was really looking forward to even interacting with him, and hopefully, that opportunity comes in the future,” he shares.
