​Cabinet clears Rs 3,708 cr health boost, skill university in Mumbai 

In a boost to healthcare in Maharashtra, the state government has approved a Rs 3708 crore project to strengthen medical education, nursing, and overall health services.

The funding will be supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and aims to improve infrastructure, ensure the availability of well-trained medical professionals, and provide access to quality healthcare across the state. The decision was taken at the state cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya in Mumbai on Monday, April 13.

In another key decision, the Maharashtra Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, approved a proposal allowing the Indian Education Society (IES) to set up an IES Skill Tech University in Mumbai.
