Global pop icon Rihanna made a stylish return to Mumbai after two years, greeting fans and paparazzi warmly at the airport. The singer is reportedly in the city for a beauty event. She was spotted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in an all-black outfit. To note, she last visited the country during Anant Ambani’s Jamnagar wedding bash.
Rihanna arrives in India after 2 years
She exited the international airport along with accompanying security. She complemented her outfit with black sunglasses and also waved at fans to greet them. As she exited with security personnel, paparazzi were heard calling out her name, “RiRi, RiRi.” Rihanna acknowledged them by waving and smiling before heading towards her vehicle. She was also seen blowing kisses to photographers. Videos circulating online also showed the singer recording the crowd gathered around her car during her arrival.
According to circulating social media reports, Rihanna is in the city for a Fenty Beauty event scheduled for April 24. Buzz suggests that the global icon may be launching a limited pop-up of her brand, Fenty Beauty, in Mumbai.
About Rihanna’s last visit to India
This marks Rihanna’s second visit to India. She had earlier travelled to the country in 2024 to perform at the lavish pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar. Her performance on March 1 became one of the most talked-about highlights of the event.
According to Rihanna’s website, the singer is the first female solo artist to sell out 10 concerts at London’s O2 Arena. Her world tours, including the Diamonds World Tour that wrapped in 2013, have taken the icon to more than 100 countries each time, selling out arenas and stadiums.
In 2014, Rihanna was honoured with the first-ever Icon Award at the American Music Awards. Her mother, Monica Braithwaite, presented her with the award in a heartwarming on-screen moment. According to the website, apart from singing, Rihanna is also putting her influence to good use via philanthropic efforts. Chief among these is her own Clara Lionel Foundation.
On the personal front, Rihanna recently embraced motherhood as she welcomed her third child with ASAP Rocky in September. The couple are parents to RZA, three, Riot, two, and Rocki, who was born in September. ASAP Rocky has now opened up about their relationship, revealing it has changed over the last few years, but Rihanna “has always been magic.”
