Tamil actor Ravi Mohan has once again grabbed headlines due his personal life. Amid his divorce with wife estranged wife and speculation around his relationship with rumoured partner, singer Keneeshaa Francis. On Saturday, May 16, the actor held a press conference addressing media, where he mentioned that he is taking a break from acting until his divorce proceedings are completed.

Ravi spoke about his ongoing separation from his estranged wife, Aarti Ravi, and made serious allegations about the emotional distress and alleging that he has faced immense mental pressure involving her family during the divorce process. Ravi was seen getting emotional as he revealed that he had engaged in self-harm due to the stress.
Ravi shared, “They are not letting me meet my sons. My sons are being assisted by bodyguards. I entered marriage against the will of my parents. I am paying the price now for doing that. In fact, I slit my wrists and still showed up at the shoot the next day. That has been my commitment. I will definitely pass away one day. But I will finish their peace before departing from this world. I will not work in the industry anymore. I will clean my personal life, save my reputation, and then get back to my acting career.”
Additionally, the actor also alleged that his ex-wife`s family has been performing black magic on him; “I am having blood vomit. They are doing black magic. They used to do it and are still doing it,” he stated.
He was then seeing losing his cool in front of the camera, and saying that his ex-wife allegedly blackmailed him. He claimed that Aarti had cut her hand and pressured him into marriage. He said that only under such circumstances did he agree to marry Aarti adding that he has been living a hellish life since day one.

The actor also alleged that while he was married to Aarti, she controlled his finances through a joint bank account and would demand explanations for every expense he made. He stated that his parents were against his relationship with Aarti. He added that to date, he does not have a single personal bank account. He shared that he only had one account, which was a joint one with Aarti.
If he withdrew even a small amount from the account, he would immediately receive a call. He stated that he suffered in silence despite being the one earning among them. He also claimed that his parents had begged him not to get married, but he refused to listen.
