​Mumbai to see partly cloudy morning skies, warmer conditions later in the day 

Mumbai city and its suburbs are likely to experience partly cloudy skies during the morning, gradually clearing by the afternoon and evening. Temperatures are expected to range between 27 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, making for generally warm conditions through the day.

The city recorded ‘good’ air quality on Saturday. According to the Centre’s SAMEER app, Mumbai registered an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 50 at 11 am, reflecting a noticeable improvement in overall air conditions.

Air quality across different parts of the city remained largely favourable. Several locations, including Bandra-Kurla Complex (59), Borivali East (86), Chakala (75), Bandra East (51), Malad West (54), Navy Nagar (60), and Sion (62), were placed in the ‘satisfactory’ category, indicating acceptable air quality levels.

Meanwhile, several areas recorded even cleaner air. Byculla (41), Chembur (39), Bhandup West (34), Kurla (35), Mazgaon (37), Mulund West (39), Sewri (30), and Worli (35) fell under the ‘good’ category, reflecting low pollution levels.

Overall, Mumbai is currently witnessing improved air quality, with minimal impact on public health. The cleaner air conditions are beneficial, especially for sensitive individuals, as pollution levels remain low across most parts of the city.

Delhi records minimum temperature at 25.9 degrees, light rain predicted for the next 2 days

The national capital saw an increase in the minimum temperature on Saturday morning, two days after a spell of light to moderate rain brought temperatures down.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for possible rain and thunderstorms for the next two days.

Safdarjung, the prime weather monitoring station in the city, recorded a minimum temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius, a 3.1-degree increase from the day before. This was also 1.2 degrees above the normal.

Other weather stations also recorded a similar rise in minimum temperature.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature on Saturday is expected to be 38-40 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the weather department has issued a yellow alert for the next two days.

“A spell of very light to light rain accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds with speeds of 30-40 kilometres per hour (kmph), even gusting to 50 kmph, is likely to occur on Sunday,” said an IMD official.

Similar conditions might continue on Monday as well.

The air quality in the city, meanwhile, remained in the moderate category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 119 at 9 am, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
