Mumbai city and its suburbs are expected to witness mainly clear skies, with temperatures likely to range between 25 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius, resulting in generally warm conditions throughout the day.
According to the Centre’s SAMEER app, the city recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 83 at 9 am, placing it in the ‘satisfactory’ category. While the overall air quality remains acceptable for the general population, certain pockets of the city reported relatively higher pollution levels. Sion, for instance, recorded an AQI of 174, while Deonar 116, both falling under the ‘moderate’ category.
Several other locations, such as Bandra-Kurla Complex (97), Borivali East (78), Chakala (94), Colaba (77), Bandra East (78), Mazgaon (69), Worli (60), and Vile Parle West (52) remained within the satisfactory range.
Meanwhile, Mulund West (19) and Malad West (49) recorded ‘good’ air quality.
Overall, while Mumbai’s air quality remains largely satisfactory, the variation across different regions highlights uneven pollution levels across the city. Sensitive individuals, particularly those with respiratory conditions, may still experience minor breathing discomfort and are advised to take necessary precautions.
