A leopard was spotted inside the premises of a private housing society near Pratap Nagar in Jogeshwari East, close to the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road, triggering concern among residents.
The movement of the animal was captured on CCTV cameras installed within the society.
Forest department alerted, teams inspect site
The Thane Forest Department’s territorial team was informed about the sighting and subsequently visited the location to assess the situation.
Officials suspect that the leopard may have strayed into the area from the nearby Goregaon`s Aarey Milk Colony.
Residents urged to remain cautious
Authorities are monitoring the situation.
