Director Siddharth Anand, who is currently helming the much-anticipated action spectacle King, starring Shah Rukh Khan, recently addressed the viral leak from the sets of the film featuring Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone. The filmmaker strongly reacted to the leak and posted a clear message, urging fans to let cinema keep its magic.

Filmmaker Siddharth Anand shared a poster on X (formerly Twitter) that read, “REQUEST TO ALL THE FANS. Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of KING. The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support and cooperation. For the unversed, the images from the South Africa schedule of King surfaced online on Friday, showing Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone filming a visually rich sequence. Within just a few hours, the images had spread across social media platforms, fuelling fan excitement and speculation.

The photos were widely shared by Shah Rukh and Deepika’s fan pages on social media, showing the actress in a flowy orange dress, with her pregnancy glow. The leak appeared to be from the shoot for a song sequence with Shah Rukh Khan, who is seen in a striped white-and-blue shirt paired with blue trousers.
Produced by Shah Rukh Khan`s Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter, Suhana Khan, who makes her big screen debut. According to reports, King will have SRK as a seasoned assassin operating within the dark underworld. On the other hand, Suhana plays his protege, training for dangerous missions.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone the ensemble cast of King also includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, and Raghav Juyal. The film, directed by Anand, is set to release on Christmas, 24th December 2026.
