While she is entangled in a legal battle with her estranged sister-in-law, the actress has finally addressed the buzz and stated that she has no regrets. She also revealed that she was going through a dark phase and is happy that, to date, no one knows what went wrong.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, Hansika was asked how people around her reacted when the most celebrated phase of her life ended. Indirectly addressing the divorce chatter, she said, “People wanted clickbait, they got it. They wanted headlines, they got it. I have never clarified it, nor will I, because it doesn`t matter to me. It`s fine. I have no regrets. It`s better to get off the train if you got onto the wrong train than suffer. I have immense support from my family. I have no regrets. I am very happy where I am,” she said.

Talking about her idea of love, she said, “Love is beautiful, and right now I don’t know when the time is right. I think the universe will guide me.” The Koi… Mil Gaya actress also stated that marriage means companionship, stability, and growth for her.
Revealing how her mother and brother supported her during tough times, Hansika shared, “Both my mother and my brother were like, ‘If you are not comfortable, don’t go through it.’ And they have seen me in a very dark space—a very dark space. I am a very happy, jolly person. For me to go into a dark space, it was kind of alarming. So they were like, ‘Whatever you decide.’ And honestly, till today, no one knows what happened between the two of us, and it’s the best. I always say that what happens between two people is known only to them. There is nothing that another person can say or comment about.”

Hansika and Sohael tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in December 2022 after dating for several years. Reports about their separation have been circulating since July 2025. A report in HT City stated, “Hansika has moved in with her mother, while Sohael is staying with his parents.” In March 2026, they were granted a divorce, with the actress claiming no alimony.
After the separation, her sister-in-law Muskaan Nancy James accused her and her brother of domestic violence and harassment. In response, Hansika approached a Mumbai sessions court, seeking Rs 2 crore in damages and a public apology, claiming the accusations were false and defamatory.
