​Fire breaks out at Andheri station, no injuries reported 

A fire broke out at the Andheri East railway reservation office in suburban Mumbai on Monday evening following a short circuit near the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counter, officials said.

The incident occurred at around 6:20 pm, causing brief panic among staff and passengers present at the booking office.

Fire safety personnel immediately used fire extinguishers to douse the flames.

Fire doused

The fire was brought under control by 6:35 pm, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the office.

Officials said that no injuries were reported in the incident.

Police and civic teams rush to spot

Police and civic officials reached the spot soon after the incident to assess the situation. Preliminary findings suggest that an electrical short circuit triggered the fire.
