Aitbaar from Chand Mera Dil doesn’t try to reinvent the classic Bollywood heartbreak ballad, it just makes sure it hurts. Composed by Sachin-Jigar, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and sung with sincerity by Faheem Abdullah, the track is well-done. The percussion hits hard and mixed with Abdullah’s voice, the song has that aching feeling. Sure, it’s no Channa Mereya; instead, it’s that late-night text you shouldn’t send and that indeed works.
