As Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) once said, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times,” or, in this case, at a brewery in Mumbai. Sthamba Global Brewery is back with Hogwarts After Hours 2.0 after a successful inaugural edition last year. Hogwarts Night 2.0 is less about costumes and more about stepping into a familiar universe. “According to the movie franchise, May 2 is believed to be the day Harry Potter won against Lord Voldemort,” shares Rajeev Rajguru, from Sthamba explaining the reason behind the event.

Walking us through what to expect, Rajguru says, “The space will be turned into Hogwarts, with props, wand details, and small touches for an immersive experience. As people arrive, they will be slotted into houses — Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff,” adding that, from that point on, things get really competitive. After being sorted into your house, games like trivia nights and other Harry Potter-themed activities are planned.

“Potterheads can expect questions on spells, characters, and specific moments from the movies and books that only dedicated fans will recognise. Might I add, this is not a casual quiz; it is the kind where people argue over answers,” reiterates Rajguru.

The highlight of the night will be a Quidditch-style beer pong and unlimited Butterbeer, which will transport you back to the Three Broomsticks Inn, a regular hangout spot for the Harry Potter crew in Hogsmeade. Rajguru also emphasises, “This is our way of doing something for true Potterheads and giving the newer generation a chance to explore the deep-rooted fandom.”
