​PRS to remain shut from May 1-2 for maintenance, says Central Railway 

The Central Railway on Thursday announced that the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) for Mumbai will remain shut due to PNR compression work from 11 pm on May 1 to 4 am on May 2.

During this period, PRS services, coaching refund services, and other facilities such as IVRS, current reservation, chart display, touch screens, refund counters, and coaching refund terminals will not be available, CR said.

The railway authorities added that Ticket Deposit Receipts (TDRs) will be issued for refunds in accordance with existing refund rules.

Internet booking for Mumbai PRS trains will also remain unavailable during the above-mentioned period due to the maintenance work.

Meanwhile, the Central Railway on Thursday announced two additional summer special train services between Mumbai`s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Madgaon in Goa.

An official statement said that the services were being announced to cater to increased passenger demand during the holiday season.

Train schedule

According to the statement, train No. 01003 (LTT-Madgaon Special) will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 08:20 hrs on May 4, 2026 (Monday) and reach Madgaon at 22:40 hrs the same day.

Train No. 01004 (Madgaon-LTT Special) will leave Madgaon at 16:30 hrs on May 3, 2026 (Sunday) and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 06:20 hrs the following day, it said.

Halts along the route

The trains will stop at several key stations, including Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali, among others, ensuring connectivity across the Konkan region.

Each train will consist of the following one AC 3-tier coach, 11 sleeper class coaches, seven general second-class coaches
and two second seating-cum-guard brake vans.

“Reservations for train no. 01003 will open on May 2, 2026 at computerised reservation centres and on the IRCTC Rail Connect platform,” the statement said.

It said that unreserved tickets can be booked through the UTS system. Passengers may also use the RailOne app for ticket bookings.
