Actor Yash is currently creating a lot of buzz with an interesting lineup of films in his kitty, including Nitesh Tiwari`s Ramayana, where he plays Ravana, and Geethu Mohandas` Toxic. Amid this, fans are also eagerly awaiting any update on KGF 3, the much-anticipated third instalment of his breakthrough franchise. Now, Yash has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding KGF 3, offering clarity on the future of the franchise.
Yash about KGF 3
During a recent interview, Yash noted that there are no immediate plans for KGF 3, since he is currently focused on his roles in Toxic and Ramayana. At his appearance at CinemaCon 2026 in the USA, alongside Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra, the actor participated in several interviews, wherein he was seen discussing his upcoming projects.
Now, during a conversation with Screen Daily, Yash broke his silence on KGF 3, stating that the film will proceed once a suitable script is developed. He said, “We aren`t planning anything soon because I have Toxic and Ramayana 1 and 2. Me and the director Prashanth Neel will keep talking.” He further said, “We need to come up with the right script, and then we`ll definitely make it happen.” (sic)
For the unversed, KGF: Chapter 2, which was released in 2022, was a sequel to KGF (2018). It is a period action franchise directed by Prashanth Neel, featuring Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj, among others.
Yash sheds light on Toxic
During the same interview, Yash also discussed his upcoming film Toxic. He said that the film is a father-and-son revenge story set after India`s independence, at a time when Goa was still under Portuguese rule until 1961. Yash shared, “It`s a gangster era, so it`s about greed, power, and politics, but we go deeper. We explore emotions. It`s a love story.”
The actor added that he believes that the world is eager for fresh content, and both his forthcoming films, Ramayana and Toxic, aim to meet this demand. The actor also noted that the objective of these films is to merge different worlds, offering viewers a chance to experience diverse cultures.
