After the delayed release, the makers shared posters for Karuppu. Suriya thanked fans and movie lovers for standing with the film’s team during the trying times. Trisha retweeted his post. She, along with director Balaji, composer Sai Abhyankar, and Suriya’s brother and actor Karthi, attended the movie’s first-day first show (FDFS) at Rohini Silverscreens in Chennai. The makers also started the film with a special thank-you note for Chief Minister Vijay.
When Trisha attended Vijay’s oath ceremony
Recently, Trisha attended her rumoured partner Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Sunday (May 10). The actress grabbed attention as she appeared to be in a cheerful mood. Her mother, Uma Krishnan, also accompanied her. Trisha was seen warmly greeting Vijay’s family members at the venue.
In February this year, it was reported that Vijay’s wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam, had filed for divorce, citing infidelity and alleging an affair with an unnamed actress. Days later, in March, Vijay and Trisha wore matching cream-and-gold outfits as they attended a wedding reception in Chennai.
On the work front, Trisha now has Vishwambhara in Telugu and Ram in Malayalam lined up. Karuppu marks her first release this year. The film also features Malayalam actors Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, and Tamil actors Yogi Babu and Natty in pivotal roles.
