​Mumbai local train updates: WR to operate night blocks from May 15-17 

Western Railway (WR) will undertake major night blocks on its suburban section between May 15 and 17 for infrastructure and signalling works at Dadar and Naigaon stations, officials said on Friday.

According to WR, the blocks are being carried out for the commissioning of Electronic Interlocking at Dadar station and the launching of Foot Over Bridge (FOB) girders at Naigaon station.

The first block will be undertaken on the 5th line and UP and DOWN fast lines at Dadar station from 11 pm on May 15 to 6 am on May 16 for commissioning of the Electronic Interlocking system.

Another block will be carried out during the intervening night of May 16 and 17 for launching two spans of FOB girders at Naigaon station using a road crane.

The block on the UP and DOWN slow lines will remain in effect from 1 am to 4 am, while the UP and DOWN fast lines will be blocked from 2:30 am to 3:30 am.

Changes in suburban train operations

During the block period, all fast line suburban trains will be operated on slow lines between Mumbai Central and Santacruz stations.

Additionally, all DOWN slow line trains will run on the DOWN fast line between Bhayandar and Vasai Road stations.

Western Railway said some suburban train services will remain cancelled during the block period. Detailed information regarding affected services will be available with station masters across the suburban section.

Mail, express trains to be regulated

Several mail and express trains will also be partially cancelled, short-terminated, delayed, or regulated due to the blocks.

Train No. 19016 Porbandar–Dadar Saurashtra Express departing on May 15 will be short-terminated at Borivali.

Train No. 12927 Dadar–Ekta Nagar Superfast Express departing on May 16 will short-originate from Borivali on May 17.

Train No. 19003 Dadar–Bhusaval Khandesh Express departing on May 17 will also short-originate from Borivali.

Train No. 22946 Okha–Dadar Saurashtra Mail departing on May 16 will be delayed by 2 hours and 15 minutes from Okha and will be short-terminated at Borivali.

Train No. 09052 Bhusaval–Dadar Special departing on May 16 will be delayed by one hour from Bhusaval.

Train No. 12928 Ekta Nagar–Dadar Express departing on May 16 will be regulated by 1 hour and 30 minutes from origin.

Train No. 14707 Hanumangarh–Dadar Express departing on May 16 will be delayed by 30 minutes between Surat and Virar.

Train No. 22953 Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express departing on May 17 will be delayed by 30 minutes from Mumbai Central.

No daytime block on May 17

Western Railway clarified that there will be no daytime block on Sunday, May 17.
