Late on Wednesday night, paparazzi at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) were in for a surprise as actress Deepika Padukone stepped out of the arrivals gate. The actress, who is currently expecting her second child, has wrapped the overseas schedule of King, where she was filming key portions with Shah Rukh Khan.
Deepika Padukone arrives in Mumbai
Deepika was spotted making her way back home in a relaxed yet stylish airport look. She wore an oversized denim shirt paired with matching baggy pants, adding a pop of colour with bright yellow sneakers. Brown sunglasses, a classic handbag, and her neatly tied-back hair completed the look.
Last month, Deepika was spotted leaving Mumbai for the international shoot schedule of King. At the time, she was accompanied by her husband, Ranveer Singh.
During the film’s overseas shoot, Ranveer was reportedly on daddy duty with their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. Recently, pictures from the King shoot featuring Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan had gone viral, with eagle-eyed fans also spotting Ranveer holding baby Dua in the background.
About Deepika’s second pregnancy
In April, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Deepika and Ranveer took to social media to announce that they are expecting their second child. The actress shared an adorable picture of daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test, captioning the post simply with two evil-eye emojis. Fans and celebrities soon flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
Despite her pregnancy, Deepika’s professional calendar remains packed. The actress currently has two major films in her lineup- Raaka and King.
As per industry sources, Deepika has already begun shooting for Raaka, director Atlee’s upcoming pan-India action spectacle headlined by Allu Arjun. Reports suggest the actress is even filming action sequences while taking all necessary precautions.
King, directed by Siddharth Anand, marks Deepika’s sixth collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars Rani Mukerji, Suhana Khan, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, and Raghav Juyal in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Raaka will mark Deepika`s first collaboration with Allu Arjun. The film will be directed by Atlee with whom Deepika had earlier worked in the film Jawaan.
