​Truck collision at cargo centre claims life, workers demand safety reforms 

A workers’ union staged a protest on Tuesday following a fatal accident at the Gordon Cargo Company in the Cargo Service Centre’s cargo area in Bandra East, Mumbai, on Monday.

Ganesh Lotankar, an employee of the company, died in a truck collision at the site.

The CHA workers’ union has alleged serious safety lapses at the cargo facility and halted operations on Tuesday, demanding justice and stricter safety measures.

Union members said Lotankar’s death underscores the urgent need for accountability and improved workplace safety standards. The protest is ongoing as workers continue to press their demands.
