Popular actor Govinda has been going through tough times recently. His wife Sunita has been vocal about their marital problems amid rumours of the actor having an affair. Last year, he left everyone worried after news surfaced that he accidentally shot himself. Now, Govinda’s manager has revealed how the actor was once attacked and that he keeps getting threat calls.
About Govinda getting attacked
Govinda’s manager has claimed that the actor has been getting a few death threats lately. “He keeps getting threat calls. Thank god he had a gun with him the day he got attacked. He chased everyone away. Otherwise, god knows what would’ve happened to him. I rushed to him at 4 am. We also filed an FIR. We also have a video of what happened that night,” Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha told ANI. While Shashi didn’t clarify the exact incident, he mentioned that Govinda sustained injuries while defending himself.
To note, the actor was last year in the news after he was rushed to the hospital as he accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. The actor even clarified that the shot was accidental and occurred when he was cleaning his gun before leaving for the airport. The actor was alone at his home when the incident occurred. The Mumbai police launched an investigation into the incident even though no complaint was filed.
About Govinda’s extramarital affair
Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja made headlines in the last few months due to an alleged rift in their marriage. Reports are rife that the actor is in a relationship with a 30-year-old Marathi actress. Reacting to claims, during a podcast with Paras S Chhabra, Sunita remarked, “I have said this many times to the media that I have also heard it. But, till the moment I don’t see him with my own eyes or catch him red-handed, I can’t declare anything. I have heard that it’s a Marathi actress.”
She added, “This is not the age to do all of this. Govinda should be thinking about settling his daughter and son Yash’s career. But, I have also heard the rumours and said that till the time I don’t open my mouth, don’t trust anything.”
Sharing details about his upcoming projects, his manager confirmed, “Many producers and even actors have been reaching out to him with offers, even though he has not had a single hit in recent times. He is just waiting for the right offer.”
