Heeramandi actress and Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s niece, Sharmin Segal, is reportedly expecting her first child with husband Aman Mehta. As per a senior journalist, Sharmin Segal is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband, and her delivery day is also due anytime soon.

Senior journalist Vickey Lalwani took to his social media account to share this news. He wrote, “Good news is hard knocking on the doors of the Bhansali and Segal households; Sharmin is due anytime soon.” Meanwhile, it is important to note that neither Sharmin nor her husband Aman has reacted to the pregnancy news as of now.

Sharmin tied the knot in 2023 with businessman Aman Mehta. He is the son of business tycoon Samir Mehta, a billionaire. Samir and his brother Sudhir Mehta are the heads of the Torrent Group. According to reports, Samir`s net worth as of 2024 is a staggering $6.44 billion (Rs 53,800 crore).

Sharmin`s wedding was an intimate affair. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress surprised her fans with a series of pictures from her special day. The photos capture the bride and groom sitting in the mandap, embarking on a new journey in their lives.

About Sharmin Segal’s work front

Sharmin, who made her film debut with the 2019 film Malaal, has earlier worked with her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the capacity of an assistant director in films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

She belongs to the third generation of the Bhansali family in Hindi cinema. Her grandfather Mohan Segal launched veteran actress Rekha. Her mother Bela Segal served as the editor on SLB’s critically acclaimed film Black, which starred Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Set against the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence in the 1940s, the show explores the lives of courtesans and their patrons, delving into the cultural dynamics of Heera Mandi.
