Raveena Tandon shuts down claims of Rasha planting negative PR against star kids

While Raveena Tandon ruled hearts in the ’90s with her iconic films, her daughter Rasha Thadani is rightly taking her legacy forward. She made her debut with Azaad. While the film received a lukewarm response at the box office, her expressions and moves in the song Uyi Amma became a sensation. However, it also snowballed into a toxic fan war, with netizens comparing her performance to other star kids. Actress Raveena Tandon has now opened up about the incident while addressing claims of Rasha running negative PR against them.

Raveena Tandon supports Rasha Thadani

During a chat with Zoom, she dismissed the rumours that Rasha’s team had planted negative PR against other star kids to elevate her image. “When Rasha`s song Uyi Amma came out, a lot of trolls and fans started comparing her with others. I don’t want to take names. Other kids, other children — they all are children.”

According to Raveena, when trolls began targeting other young actors, a few people wrongly assumed that Rasha was behind it, accusing her of running negative PR campaigns against others to make herself look better. She added that things took an unpleasant turn when PR-related allegations surfaced.

Denying the claims, Raveena added, “All through my career, I never had a PR person. It is so unlike us, our family, to go ahead and target our own friends’ children — the children we have seen grow up.”

Raveena on gossip culture in the industry

Raveena also addressed the larger culture of rumours and gossip that often surrounds celebrity families. “Ye afwahein bhi bahut udti hain. So when someone said, ‘Arey ye unki PR machinery chal rahi hai.’ Arey kaun si PR machinery? Nobody is that vile and wicked that they will put one person down to show themselves up.”

Rasha Thadani’s upcoming movies

She will next be seen in Laikey Laikaa with Abhay Verma. Directed by Saurabh Gupta, it centres on a “dark love story” set against a gritty backdrop, exploring intense romance, pain, and danger.

Rasha has also been locked in for a Tollywood film with filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi. The project has been tentatively titled “#AB4”. Presented by Ashwin Dutt, “#AB4” is backed by Gemini Kiran under the banner of Chandamama Kathalu Pictures.
