Newlyweds Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are soaking in all the love they have been receiving since their wedding on February 26. They also visited Vijay’s village, Thummanpet in Mahbubnagar, Telangana, where a huge crowd gathered to see them.

Rashmika Mandanna welcomed to Vijay`s village

Visuals of the newlyweds at Vijay’s village are now doing the rounds on social media. Rashmika was seen in her new bride look, wearing an off-white saree with a red border. She completed the look with traditional jewellery. In one of the videos, a stage was set up on the village grounds to honour the newlyweds. While Vijay was dressed casually, all eyes were on the new bride, Rashmika. A massive crowd gathered to greet the couple and welcome her to the village.

Meanwhile, their new home in the Mahbubnagar district (present-day Nagarkurnool) was lit up, with tents set up outside to accommodate guests who arrived to meet the couple.

Another video circulating on social media shows the elaborate arrangements made for the couple’s arrival at their new home. Rashmika and Vijay also reportedly performed the Satyanarayana Vratam at their residence — a traditional puja performed by newly married couples to thank God for the successful completion of wedding festivities and to begin a new chapter with blessings.

Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding

Rashmika and Vijay tied the knot in Udaipur on February 26 in the presence of their closest friends and loved ones. The couple confirmed their wedding a few days prior, calling it the “Virosh wedding.” After the ceremony, they flew back to Hyderabad and announced annadanam (food donations) and the distribution of sweets in various cities to mark their marriage.

The couple is set to host their reception in Hyderabad on March 4 on an invite-only basis. Notably, the reception was originally planned as an exclusive gathering for members of the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada film fraternities, along with distinguished political and administrative leaders. However, as per police advice, the guest list has reportedly been revised.
