Nora Fatehi`s latest song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke termed as `vulgar and cheap`

The makers of the upcoming Kannada film KD: The Devil unveiled the track Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke. Starring Nora Fatehi, the song has been composed by music director Arjun Janya. Directed by Prem, KD: The Devil’s latest song also features Sanjay Dutt, who is seen shaking a leg with Fatehi in peppy dance track.  Sung by Mangli, with lyrics by Raqeeb Alam, the song faced significant criticism from audience. Many have called it `vulgar and cheap`. Singer Armaan Malik also shared his view on the song.

Armaan Malik slams Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke song

Armaan took to his X handle and reacted to a post that criticized the song. He wrote, “This showed up on my timeline and I had to replay it just to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low”.

In another post on X, Malik wrote, “I am genuinely at a loss of words. Wish I could unhear it”.

Many netizens shared sentiments similar to Armaan Malik. Comments on YouTube called out its vulgarity, with one user mentioning, “Ashleelta (vulgarity) on the top,” and another questioning the dance steps, noting, “Wtf is this? It’s 2026, still this kind of song and action.” “The lyrics are so cheap and vulgar,” read another comment.  Many viewers called for a ban on the song.

One fan expressed disappointment at Sanjay Dutt`s song, saying, “Didn’t expect this from Sanjay Dutt after Dhurandhar.”

Nora Fatehi on the new track

Speaking at the launch of the song earlier this week, Fatehi, who is making her debut in the Kannada industry, said, “Thank you Prem sir for inviting me. After watching the trailer on the big screen, now, I know why they call you the Showman. I came into the film quite last minute. When I came on the set and I met the entire crew, I realised they are genuinely making an epic movie. For me to be able to debut in Sandalwood [Industry] with this project, is quite an honour.”

She added, “I hope everyone can enjoy the song when you actually get to see it. Today, it’s just lyrical, but the song is massive.” The song was launched across five languages — Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. Sung by Mangli, the track is already a viral sensation across all social media platforms. The lyrics for the song has been written by Raqeeb Alam and the song is composed, arranged and produced by Arjun Janya. The event was attended by Nora Fatehi, Prem, Arjun Janya, Rakshitha Prem, Reeshma Nanaiah and the action prince, Dhruva Sarja!
