Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding was poised to be the internet’s next heart-melting moment. But celebrations came to an abrupt halt when Smriti’s father fell seriously ill, leading to several other speculations. While they requested privacy and confirmed that the wedding is called off, actor Nandish Sandhu, who was a part of the wedding, recalled what happened at the occasion.

Speaking to Miss Malini, Nandish refused to comment on the infidelity accusations against Palash and said, “It’s better not to say anything on that right now. And let Palash speak from his side.”
Recalling what happened in Sangli, he said, “I’d gone for the wedding. That didn’t happen. And I just got to know that it’s not happening at the moment.”
According to him, the postponement was initially attributed to a medical emergency in Smriti Mandhana’s family. “It’s postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti’s dad wasn’t well. He was in the hospital. And that’s why everything has been postponed,” Nandish explained.
He added, “Later on, I got to know through news and media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about it.”
The actor also spoke emotionally about the couple’s relationship, saying he had personally witnessed their bond over the years. “Whatever the reason might have been, the wedding didn’t happen,” he said. “And you know, I’ve seen the love. I’ve seen how madly they were in love for the last five, six years. They were such a cute, nice couple,” he added.

Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were earlier set to marry on November 23, 2025. Later, the wedding was called off, and as per reports, the singer was accused of infidelity. Palash was recently in the news after he cheated a producer of Rs 40 lakhs.
Recalling what happened at the wedding, Vidnyan Mane said, “I was at the wedding celebrations (November 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers.”
