​Mumbai local train updates | Plan ahead: Mega block today on WR, CR 

On Sunday, both Central and Western Railway train timetables will be affected due to multiple work blocks on the section affecting train services. Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works from 8am to 1.30 pm. A jumbo block of five hours will operate on WR between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations between 10.35 am and 3.35 pm, to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment.

Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway Vineet Abhishek said during the block period, all Slow line trains will be running on Fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central station. Due to the block, some Churchgate-bound and Virar-bound local trains will remain cancelled and some Churchgate-bound trains will be short terminated/reversed from Bandra/Dadar. Detailed information to this effect is available at the concerned Station Master’s office.

On Central Railway, all lines, except the port line will be affected due to the block which will be on the 5th and 6th lines between Vidyavihar and Thane stations from 8 am to 1.30 pm Mail/Express trains will be diverted on CSMT-bound fast line at Thane and LTT bound trains will be re-diverted on 6th line at Vidyavihar station.

On the harbour line, between Panvel and Vashi stations (excluding Port line), there will be work blocks between 11.05 am to 4.05 pm. On the CSMT-bound line, services leaving Panvel from 10.33 am to 3.49 pm will be affected and on the Panvel bound line services to Panvel/Belapur leaving CSMT from 9.45 am to 3.12 pm will remain cancelled.

On the trans-harbour line services, towards Thane leaving Panvel from 11.02 am to 3.53 pm and trans-harbour line services towards Panvel leaving Thane from 10.01 am to 3.20 pm will remain cancelled. Special local trains will run on CSMT Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period. Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations during the block period. Port line services will also be available between Belapur/Nerul and Uran stations during the block period.
