​Mumbai: Cops arrest ride hailing service executive for molesting woman 

The Vikhroli police have arrested a ride hailing service executive for allegedly molesting a woman. The accused has been identified as Uday Khambe, 38, and he was arrested on April 22 after the police scrutinised footage from over 300 CCTV cameras. “He had molested a woman on April 13. He had touched her inappropriately and fled the scene,” the police said. The woman was not a rider but a passerby, the police said.

“The woman was left distressed following the molestation. She approached the police station and following the FIR, several teams were made. Initially, the  footage was blurred, but then after a thorough search he was arrested from Thane on April 22. He has been granted judicial custody.” The Vikhroli police are in the process of filing a charge sheet against the accused.
