Napoleon returns as Neelakandan’s arch-enemy Mundackal Shekharan, alongside Vasundhara Das, Siddique, Innocent, Vijayaraghavan, and Sai Kumar. Revathi also makes a cameo appearance as Bhanumathi.

The story revolves around Karthikeyan, a successful businessman whose father Neelakandan faces financial troubles. Karthikeyan attempts to reclaim their ancestral home, Mangalassery Tharavadu, from Shekharan, and in the process, he abducts Shekharan’s daughter — only to fall in love with her.

Originally released on August 31, 2001, Ravanaprabhu received highly positive reviews and was a major commercial success, grossing over Rs 15 crores during its theatrical run. It went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2001.
