After months of anticipation and teasing fans, Amazon MGM Studios has finally unveiled the new official trailer for the Nicholas Galitzine– starrer Masters of the Universe, bringing one of pop culture`s most beloved franchises back to the big screen in a spectacular fashion.

Directed by Travis Knight, the film reimagines the iconic saga as a live-action sci-fi action adventure. After fifteen years away from home, Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) is summoned back to Eternia by the mystical Sword of Power — only to find his world in the iron grip of the ruthless Skeletor (Jared Leto). With his kingdom on the brink of destruction, Adam reunites with his closest allies — Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan / Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba) — and embraces his destiny to become He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.
Starring Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Charlotte Riley, featuring Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto, with Jared Leto and Idris Elba, the film delivers epic scale, high-octane action, and emotional depth—bringing a beloved world to life for a new generation.

Masters of the Universe is based on the iconic 1980s Mattel toy line, reimagined as an epic live-action sci-fi action adventure.
“As Adam transforms into the muscular He-Man, he is tasked with defending his home planet from the evil sorcerer Skeleto. Evil-Lyn is Skeletor`s second-in-command and wields a magic wand topped with a crystal orb,” reads the synopsis.
Travis Knight, known for Kubo and the Two Strings and Bumblebee, is on board to direct Masters of the Universe. Chris Butler has penned the screenplay, following initial drafts written by David Callaham and Aaron and Adam Nee. Mattel Films` Robbie Brenner, Escape Artists` Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are attached as producers.
The live-action feature film Masters of the Universe from Amazon, MGM Studios and Mattel Studios, based on the iconic franchise, will be released theatrically in IMAX and other premium formats in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on 5th June, 2026 by Sony Pictures Releasing International.
