​Massive fire breaks out at Naval Dockyard in south Mumbai 

A massive fire broke out inside the Naval Dockyard near Gateway of India in south Mumbai on Thursday night.

According to preliminary information, the blaze started at around 10.15 pm at a building within the Naval Dockyard premises.

Sources said that the building is located diagonally opposite the Gateway of India in Colaba, one of the city’s prominent landmarks.

The Indian Navy quickly reached at the site and have launched a firefighting operation.

There have been no reports of injuries so far.

Indian Navy`s Western Naval Command is likely to issue an official statement shortly.

Further details about the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still awaited.
