Several parts of Maharashtra continued to experience warm to hot weather on April 10, 2026, with temperatures hovering around or slightly above normal across both coastal and interior regions.
In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, temperatures remained moderate but humid. Colaba recorded a maximum temperature of 33.0 degrees Celsius with relative humidity at 66 per cent and no rainfall. Santacruz reported a slightly higher maximum of 33.5 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures stood at 25 degrees Celsius (Colaba) and 22.2 degrees Celsius (Santacruz), indicating warm and humid conditions, especially during morning hours.
Across Mumbai, localised temperature variations were observed, with Ram Mandir recording 36.1 degrees Celsius, Vikhroli 35.9 degrees Celsius, Bandra 34.5 degrees Celsius, Vidyavihar 33.9 degrees Celsius, Byculla 33.8 degrees Celsius, Dahisar 33.7 degrees Celsius, and Chembur 33.0 degrees Celsius.
Coastal Belt Remains Sultry
Coastal regions continued to witness high humidity levels, contributing to uncomfortable weather conditions. Alibag recorded a maximum temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius, while Dahanu reported 34.2 degrees Celsius. The persistent moisture in the air has kept the coastal belt largely sultry despite moderate temperatures.
Interior Maharashtra Sees Rising Heat
In contrast, interior parts of the state experienced more intense heat. Solapur recorded one of the highest maximum temperatures at 38.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Sangli at 37.7 degrees Celsius and Parbhani at 37.1 degrees Celsius. Jalgaon and Jeur also reported temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius, indicating a steady rise in daytime heat.
Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 37.0 degrees Celsius with low relative humidity at 25 per cent and no rainfall, reflecting dry and hot conditions in the region.
Relief in Hilly Regions
Relatively cooler weather prevailed in elevated regions. Mahabaleshwar recorded a maximum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 17.6 degrees Celsius, offering respite from the heat. Nashik also experienced milder conditions, with a maximum of 32.5 degrees Celsius and cooler night temperatures around 17.4 degrees Celsius.
Other Regions Report Near-Normal Temperatures
Among other regions, Aurangabad recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius (below normal), Kolhapur reported 35.6 degrees Celsius (near normal), Osmanabad saw 36.9 degrees Celsius, and Ratnagiri recorded 33.7 degrees Celsius accompanied by high humidity.
Dry Weather Likely to Continue
Overall, dry weather conditions continue to prevail across Maharashtra. The combination of rising temperatures in interior regions and persistent humidity along the coast is expected to maintain warm to hot conditions across the state over the coming days.
