Prime Video has announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of the Tamil sci-fi romance comedy, Love Insurance Kompany. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, it boasts a powerhouse cast, including Pradeep Ranganathan, SJ Suryah, Krithi Shetty, Seeman, Yogi Babu, and Gouri Kishan in pivotal roles. Backed by a unique premise, a balance of futuristic edge with satire and romance, and Anirudh’s soundtrack, the film taps into the anxieties of a generation navigating dating apps, curated identities, and algorithm-driven choices, while still holding on to the messy, unpredictable nature of human connection. Love Insurance Kompany will be available to stream from May 6, exclusively on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, in Tamil, with dubs in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

LIK plot

The story unfolds in 2040 Chennai, where love is no longer left to chance but insured and guaranteed by a powerful corporation. Suriyan, the ambitious CEO, believes relationships can be predicted and controlled through algorithms, while Vibe Vaasey, a free-spirited young man, insists that love must remain natural and unpredictable. His world collides with Dheema, a woman who trusts LIK’s system completely, sparking a romance that tests both belief systems. The clash between human instinct and corporate control escalates, ultimately asking whether true love can survive in a world where even feelings are commodified.
