Call Me Bae marked singer Lisa Mishra’s foray into acting, and returning to the series’ world has reminded her how special it is to her. Currently shooting the second season of the Ananya Panday-led comedy, the actor couldn’t be happier to reprise her role of a news producer. “It feels more exciting because I now understand my character and the world better. I’m more present and fearless. We’ve completed about 50 per cent of the shoot, and are looking to wrap by late March,” said Mishra.

Juggling the shoot with her live performances can be hectic. But to the singer, who always wanted to try her hand at acting, Call Me Bae is the realisation of that dream. “The show came into my life after years of my trying to be part of the [acting world]. It fell in place, not without the struggle of the first acting job. It has been an intense process to balance it with my live shows and new music.”
