New Prem, new plot

The buzz is that Ayushmann Khurrana is set to star in Sooraj Barjatya’s next film as the lead character Prem, with Sharvari as the female lead. The movie also stars Anupam Kher. According to reports, filming will begin in November, with Sharvari joining in December. The romantic saga is expected to be shot over six months, with a release planned for the second half of 2026. The movie is described as a funny, romantic tale set against the backdrop of nuclear families. The script is locked and casting is underway. This will be the filmmaker’s eighth directorial venture, following films like Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), among others. Meanwhile, Ayushmann also has Thama in his kitty.
