Bollywood is set to witness the much-anticipated sequel of the 2019 rom-com De De Pyaar De. The excitement surrounding the film skyrocketed as the makers unveiled the motion poster of De De Pyaar De 2, with Meezaan Jafri, the new entrant to the bandwagon of the exciting cast, including Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, Javed Jaffrey, and others.

The motion poster gives a generous peek into the fun-filled world of De De Pyaar De 2, promising a good dose of love, laughter and double drama! Meezaan took to his social media handle to share the motion poster and captioned it saying, “Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! (sic) Kya Ashish ko milega Ayesha ke parents ka approval? PyaarVsParivaar DeDePyaarDe2 — In Cinemas 14th Nov” The sequel will also star his dad Javed Jaffrey.
About De De Pyaar De 2
Directed by Anshul Sharma, the sequel is written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is crafted by the makers of lighthearted films like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Alongside the stellar ensemble, Meezaan promises to bring a refreshing energy to the plot, doubling the fun this time! The film releases in theatres on 14th November.
To note, the film marks second collaboration between Ajay and R Madhavan. The latter will essay the role of Rakul Preet Singh’s dad in the film. De De Pyaar De 2 will pick up right where the first film left off, exploring the humorous chaos that unfolds within Rakul Preet Singh’s on-screen family due to the unconventional relationship between a 50-something Ashish (Ajay Devgn) and a 20-something Ayesha (Rakul).
A source close to actor told Pinkvilla, “Madhavan has not delved into a light-hearted rom-com since the Tanu Weds Manu Franchise and he readily embraced the opportunity to come on board DDPD 2. The makers are bringing in a fresh energy to the film, and both the leading men are excited for this face off in the sequel to 2018 romantic comedy.”
