​Car door negligence leads to death of Zomato delivery rider in Kandivali 

A 31-year-old Zomato delivery executive was killed in Kandivali West after a parked car driver allegedly opened the door without checking, causing the rider to fall into the path of a moving tanker that ran him over, the police said. The victim, Tuvankumar Maheshwar Yadav, was on duty when the incident occurred around 7 pm on Wednesday at Link Road. Police said he had left home around 6 pm for deliveries.

FIR registered

Charkop police have registered an FIR against both drivers for negligence. The car driver, identified as Aftab Alam from Govandi, allegedly opened the door without checking the mirrors. The tanker driver, Anantray Shivnayak Yadav from Wadala, has been booked for rash and negligent driving.
