Breaking Bad fans review bomb A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms finale episode

The fan war between A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Breaking Bad continues. The finale episode of the first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a prequel to Game of Thrones set hundreds of years before its events, aired this morning. However, even before its release, the episode was flooded with reviews and ratings on IMDb (Internet Movie Database). It wasn’t fans of the show, but rather fans of Breaking Bad, who allegedly review-bombed the episode in retaliation.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms gets review bombed

This came after fans of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms review-bombed Breaking Bad’s season 5 episode, Ozymandias, last week, bringing its long-standing perfect 10 rating down to 9.8 after 12 years.

The final episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is titled The Morrow. It aired on HBO Max and JioHotstar in India on Monday morning. However, before it became available for streaming in India, the episode had already garnered over 20,000 reviews on IMDb, most of them rating it 1/10. Many users openly admitted they were Breaking Bad fans seeking revenge for Ozymandias.

One user wrote, “Fans of Game of Thrones were the ones who lowered the rating of the final episode of Breaking Bad, ‘Felina,’ which was a 10, and they brought it down. And then they call us ‘toxic.’ Then we went and lowered the rating of ‘The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.’ After that, you came back and dropped ‘Ozymandias’ from 10 to 9.8. In the end, you’re the ones who started it. What a joke!”

Fan war escalates

Fans of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms quickly retaliated by giving the latest episode 10/10 ratings. “We have to continue protecting our realm; it is our duty to protect this series on behalf of the future (sic),” wrote one supporter.

Some fans, however, called for a peace settlement, acknowledging that “Ozymandias” deserves its 10/10 rating and that great TV episodes shouldn’t suffer due to online fan wars.

“Let’s rate ‘Ozymandias’ the 10 it fairly deserves and rate A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episodes the 9 or 10 they deserve. Seeing a 7.9-rated ‘The Morrow’ and a 9.7-rated ‘Ozymandias’ is not what we want. Let’s stop this review bombing and rate the episodes fairly,” pleaded one user.
