​Asiatic Society of Mumbai elections postponed again, no new date announced 

The upcoming elections of the iconic Asiatic Society of Mumbai (ASM) have been postponed again for the second time without giving any future dates. Originally, the elections were scheduled for November 8, and subsequently on March 14.

The cancellation of elections to be held on Saturday was announced by an order of the charity commissioner.

The order, a copy of which is with mid-day.com, said, “A sub-committee has been appointed to prepare a list of valid and eligible voters for the purposes of elections strictly as per the provisions and directed not to accept any new applications for membership/claiming right of vote for the purposes of elections. After preparation, the list be published on the website as well as notice board of the Society.”
