Mahavatar universe expands with Parshuraam, makers promise grand visual treat

Finally, the wait has come to an end, as the planned seven-part animated Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, based on the ten avatars (incarnations) of Vishnu, is set to return with its second installment, Mahavatar Parshuraam, following the phenomenal success of Mahavatar Narsimha, presented by Hombale Films, and produced by Kleem Production. Introducing the first glimpse, the makers have dropped a thrilling poster that promises nothing less than a visual spectacle in the making. The biggest cinematic universe is back with its second installment, Mahavatar Parshuraam, directed by Ashwin Kumar, one of the finest creative minds in India today.

After witnessing Mahavatar Narsimha, anticipation for the second installment had reached its peak. The makers have now officially announced it with a visually stunning and thrilling poster. The tagline reads, “Where Patience Ends, the Axe of Parshuraam Begins!”—a line that speaks volumes about the impact the film is set to create. With this, the makers are ready to bring the story of the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, Parshuraam, to life grandly and compellingly. Promising a visual spectacle, the film will depict how Vishnu took the Parshuraam avatar to end the tyranny of corrupt and arrogant Kshatriya kings who had abandoned dharma (righteousness) and were oppressing the world.

Sharing his vision on the film’s cultural and emotional foundation, Producer Vijay Kiragandur said, “Our stories are our strength. With Mahavatar Parashuram, we aim to reconnect audiences with the power of our roots while presenting it in a format that resonates with today’s generation. This is a story of legacy, strength, and purpose.”

Mahavatar Narsimha stood as the biggest cinematic universe with breathtaking visuals. It turned into a massive cultural event in the Indian entertainment industry, and now the journey is set to rise to another level with Mahavatar Parshuraam. The film transformed theatres into temples, with people removing their shoes outside cinema halls and engaging in prayers and chants. Now, the nation gears up for the next chapter of this cinematic universe, which showcases the true impact of Indian storytelling on the big screen. The film also joins the growing list of culturally rooted upcoming projects like Varanasi, Ramayana, and Kalki 2898 AD. This is yet another offering from Hombale Films, known for its strong track record with blockbusters like KGF, Salaar, and Kantara.

Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Shilpaa Dhawan under the banners of Hombale Films and Kleem Production. The music is composed by Sam CS.
