The Maharashtra government on Thursday issued transfer orders for four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, effecting a minor administrative reshuffle across key departments and divisions.
According to the order dated April 16, 2026, G. Sreekanth (IAS: 2009 batch), who was serving as Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Navi Mumbai, has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Division.
Incumbent Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar (IAS: 2010 batch) has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Gangatharan D. (IAS: 2013 batch) has been appointed as the new Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Navi Mumbai, replacing Sreekanth.
In another move, Jagdish Miniyar (IAS: 2015 batch), who was serving as Chief Administrator (New Township) at CIDCO in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, has been posted as Commissioner, Women and Child Development Department in Pune.
The transfers are part of routine administrative changes aimed at streamlining governance and ensuring effective implementation of key government programmes.

Earlier, the Maharashtra government on Wednesday issued a transfer order effecting a reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments, including tourism, higher and technical education, and local governance bodies.
As part of the administrative rejig, Dr. B.N. Patil (IAS: Non-SCS: 2014), who was serving as Director of Tourism in Mumbai, has been appointed as Project Director of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) under the Higher and Technical Education Department in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Mangesh Joshi (IAS: SCS: 2015), previously posted as Deputy Director General at YASHADA in Pune, will take over as the new Director of Tourism in Mumbai.
In a significant move in local administration, Kuladeep Jangam (IAS: RR: 2020), who was serving as Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad in Solapur, has been appointed as Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
Replacing him in Solapur, Kushal Jain (IAS: RR: 2022), earlier posted as Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Aheri, and Assistant Collector of Aheri Sub Division in Gadchiroli, has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Solapur.
Additionally, Revaiah Dongre (IAS: RR: 2023), who was serving as Assistant Collector of Bhoom Sub Division in Dharashiv, has been transferred and appointed as Project Officer of ITDP, Pandharkawda. He will also serve as Assistant Collector of Kelapur Sub Division in Yavatmal.
